EuroMillions in France — What Makes It Different?

EuroMillions is a transnational lottery played across nine European countries: France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. The jackpot is shared across all participating countries, which is why it can grow to record-breaking amounts of up to €250 million.

However, playing EuroMillions in France comes with an exclusive, country-specific benefit that no other participating country offers: the My Million (Mon Million) supplementary raffle. Every EuroMillions ticket purchased in France is automatically entered into this raffle at no additional cost, guaranteeing that at least one French player wins €1,000,000 at every single draw — regardless of whether the main jackpot is won.

In 2026, EuroMillions remains the highest-value lottery available to French players and one of the most attractive lottery products in the world for international players seeking life-changing jackpots.

EuroMillions — Format & Draw Schedule

The EuroMillions format requires choosing from two separate pools of numbers. Both must match to win the jackpot.

Lucky Stars
Choose 2 Lucky Stars from 1 to 12. These are drawn separately and determine your prize tier together with your main numbers.
💛 My Million Raffle (France Only)
Automatically included with every French ticket. One unique code is drawn at each draw, winning exactly €1,000,000. No extra cost, no extra selection needed.

The My Million Raffle — Explained

The My Million (Mon Million) raffle is a supplementary draw available exclusively to EuroMillions players in France. It was introduced by FDJ to give French players an additional guarantee on top of the main EuroMillions prize structure.

Every EuroMillions ticket purchased in France — whether at a FDJ point de vente (retail outlet) or via a licensed online service — automatically generates a unique alphanumeric raffle code. At each draw, one code is randomly selected as the winner of a guaranteed €1,000,000 prize.

This means that at every single EuroMillions draw — 104 times per year — at least one French player wins €1 million, in addition to any main draw winners. The My Million raffle prize does not affect or reduce the main EuroMillions jackpot.

The My Million prize is included in the ticket price of €5.50 per line — there is no additional cost to enter the raffle. It is entirely automatic and exclusive to French EuroMillions tickets.

EuroMillions France — FAQ

What is the EuroMillions jackpot cap?
The EuroMillions jackpot is capped at €250 million. Once it reaches this level, it stays capped for a maximum of five consecutive draws. If no jackpot winner emerges after those five capped draws, the jackpot rolls down to the next prize tier with at least one winner. The starting jackpot is €17 million and it rolls over by at least €10 million per unclaimed draw.
How does the My Million raffle work?
Every EuroMillions ticket purchased in France generates a unique 10-character alphanumeric code (e.g., “R 547 8213”). At each draw, one code is randomly drawn, and the holder of that code wins €1,000,000. The raffle is entirely automatic — you do not need to do anything extra, and it is included in your ticket price with no additional cost.
Can international players get the My Million raffle?
Yes — as long as you purchase your EuroMillions ticket through a service that buys from a French FDJ retail point, your ticket will include a My Million raffle code. Licensed online lottery courier services that operate in France automatically include the My Million raffle with every EuroMillions ticket they purchase on your behalf.
When are the EuroMillions draws?
EuroMillions draws take place every Tuesday and Friday at approximately 21:00 CET in Paris. The My Million raffle code is announced shortly before the main draw. Check our results page for the latest winning numbers and My Million codes after every draw.
Are EuroMillions winnings taxed in France?
No — France does not withhold any tax on EuroMillions winnings, including the My Million prize. All prizes are paid in full at source. Whether you owe tax in your home country depends on local legislation. See our Law & Tax guide for country-specific details.
